A good friend told me about the Pizza here several years ago. This is one of the best Pizza places in all of the Des Moines area. I consider myself a really good judge of Pizza and I have been to lots of Pizza places around the country. Dine in or carry out, you won't be disappointed with the Pizza here.

A simple, no-frills pizza joint. I really enjoy their BBQ chicken pizza- the BBQ sauce is high quality and the chicken is very tender and fresh. I enjoy supporting local small businesses, and this is one I definitely feel good about supporting. It's location is tucked off of the main road so it probably doesn't get much foot traffic, but it's a little gem, in my opinion.

Was empty when walked in and made me nervousness, but the place was clean and the Italian sub was an awesome sandwich. Ingredients were fresh and to a of flavor.

I'm from Chicago and know good pizza. This is one of the best pizza's I've found in the Des Moines area - definitely worth trying.

For six months or so I only ordered pizza here. A coworker recently had a sandwich. First of all, the pizza rules! Nice and crispy plus they are covered in toppings and cheese. Beats the chain pizza places ten out of ten times. I suggest either The Hawkeye or The Cyclone. I'm a fan of the Clones so if I can't decide I go with The Cyclone. Now, back to the sandwiches... I haven't had anything other than the Philly Cheese Steak. Huge sandwich and tastes stellar! I eat the entire thing and am mad at myself when I look down and see a food baby where my tummy used to be! Coach's is a great local business. My only knock would be the decor. They had Christmas lights still up in February. The food makes up for any lack in atmosphere.

Not going back here. Thinking that piling it on makes it good, not necessarily so. Seasonings and proportions of ingredients help. We ordered Marguerite pizza with mushrooms. It came with huge glops of cheese, about 2 small bites of tomato and 1 basil leaf torn into 2 pieces and no mushrooms. Very bland................Asked for marinara to spice it up a bit, but that tasted like canned plain tomatoes. Waitress seemed genuinely surprised that we didn't want to take leftovers with us..............

My favorite pizza in Des Moines, if not everywhere. Get 1/2 grinder 1/2 cyclone, it's truly amazing.

I have ate here many times and got carryout this evening. I have never had anything but the pizza but I think it's some of the best in West Des Moines. I like the Hawkeye or Hot Mama, but a plain pepperoni is very good as well. It is a very casual atmosphere and the staff is very informal. It is ok for a pizza place, but if you are looking for a formal wait staff you will have to look somewhere else. The major draw back is all the tables are very large and there aren't very many of them. This means a party of two will be sitting at a huge table for eight alone or sometimes with another party of people you don't know.

This place screams kitchen nightmare. I was very concerned when we walked into an empty restaurant. We ordered the wings and an 8 inch pizza. My wife makes better pizza first of all. The wings were okay, but after watching the cook go to the cooler and put the wings on a rusted, overused tray I was super concerned. I became even more concerned when I saw fruit flies flying around once we got our food. I tried to ignore this, but when I got to my hotel room and opened my to go box one of the fruit flies flew out. I'm so disgusted, I had to write a review.

Just OK. So when it comes to pizza, I can think of 20 better places in town to get a slice. I've tried it 3 times due to being close and having a couple different friends insist on Coachs. Not terrible, but can't do it again.

Great spot to come to watch the Monday night football game and get some beer and pizza. The wings and salads are also very good. The staff is always very nice and the service is great. Not a bad thing to say about this place other than it is kind of small with fairly limited seating.

Pizza was mediocre. I was going to eat in but the place was very busy so I ended up getting it to go. I just got a regular pizza with a few toppings and it was comparable to a pizza from a national chain but with a higher price. I also got bread sticks and they were nothing special at all. Good pizza but you can find better for less money.

Overpriced and not very good at all. Our waitress was one of the most gruff unhappy people I've ever met and really not in a good mood at all. she looked like we were a bother that we entered the restaurant. Pizza was lukewarm and not really tasty. I could have made better at home and have quite frankly. Nothing special at all. Save your money and go to Fongs.

Good place fir groups. The seating is really designed for groups which is good but there isn't a lot of tables. Place was busy and only 2 servers were working but they did a great job. We started with the chili cheese dip which was terrible and not something I'd recommend. Our entrees were good and a good value for the price too. Strongly recommend the salads which were large and topped with lots of fresh mozarella. Ranch drssing was a perfect combo. My companion got a sub with multple meats and liked it. My baked cavtelli was enough for 4 people! It was piping hot and good flavor. We'd come back. Carryout is a good option and we hear pizza is good
